Projecting the Tropics – Population Growth 2010 – 2050

The population of the tropics is set to overtake that of the rest of the world before the middle of the century. These projections are based on median estimates of births, mortality and life expectancy. Values are in thousands.

Values for Australia, Brazil, Mexico, China, India, Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia represent only the tropical region of those nations.
